Is Ski Hugger Directional?

Yes, ski hugger has a front and a back side. The rule of the thumb is the inner triangle pieces should be facing the tail end of ski and slope towards the toe piece of the binding to match the sloping angle of the heel piece for precise fitment. Only a few bindings require putting the Ski Hugger on backwards for a better fitment. See our videos for more information on fitment.

How does the Ski Hugger hold up in extreme heat and cold?

The PETG plastic will remain strong up to 240 Celsius but it is still important to avoid leaving the ski hugger in direct sunlight for long periods of time to avoid warping of the plastic. Is it also safe up to -40 Celsius in the cold.

Fitment Trouble with Look Pivot Bindings

Make sure you are putting the ski hugger on backwards with the logo facing the back of the heel piece and that the sharp tips at the top of the heel fit nicely into the indented slots on the inside walls of the ski hugger. Secondly, using your thumb pull the leg of the ski hugger out while using your index finger to pull the brake feet up and lock it into place. Making sure the ski hugger sits in front of the highest point on the breaks. Repeat on both sides. Give the ski hugger a light tug straight up after both brakes are in place to insure the brakes are far away as possible from the base and edges.
