Hi, my name is Luca, and I am the creator of the Ski Hugger.

The idea came to life back in January of 2025 when I was waxing my family's skis for an upcoming trip. When I tried to hold the brakes up with my rubber bands, they snapped and hit me in the face. This is when I knew there had to be a better way.

After 50+ prototypes and 100s of hours of testing with tuning shops, I present the Ski Hugger break retainer.

We launched a Kickstarter campaign back in October, which reached 45 backers and over $6,000 in donations, and we have not stopped since.

I see Ski Hugger evolving into a trusted brand in ski gear and accessories known for clever, durable, and practical solutions that improve the skiing experience. Our long-term vision is to create a company that is reliable, innovative, and deeply connected to the skiing community. Working to spread the joy of our products to all skiers across the world!
